The Chameleon series for Win7 has been very popular here
with over 40,000 downloads!

The theme it's self is a modded version of my UC8,it is mostly
the COLOR CHANGING option that is new,that and it can be fully
transparent!

Your system must be patched to allow the use of 3rd party themes
I use this patcher-[link]

To install copy the c8 folder and the c8.theme file for the theme folder in
the download to C:WindowsResourcesThemes
Now right click on your desktop and from the context menu choose Personalize
and choose Chameleon for 8.

It will load as a black theme.
Now to add main color
Run Black Glass Enhanced.[link]
Normally on Win 7 this is used for transparency but in this case I'm first using it to get
the Explorer backgrond to change
For this app to begin working all Explorer windows
need to be closed and reopened so close the Personalize window and reopen it.

Now go to the Color tab,once in there choose any color you want and fine tune it
using the "color mixer"
For even more colors and better control try AeroTuner-[link]

If you want to have the full transparent effect with blur you will also need to run Aero Glass-[link]
It is only in beta but is being improved almost daily!

I have included some custom system files(FOR 64 BIT SYSTEMS ONLY) along with a tutorial on changing them
shell32.dll-2 one for your system32 folder & one for the wow64 folder
this will allow for images in the Control Panel to change to match the theme
it also contains some black and white icons
timedate.cpl-changes your system clock to match the theme
wmploc.dll-changes WMP12 to black
also if you add it to Black Glass Enhanced it will not only change colors with the theme
it will also be transparent when Aero Glass for Win8 v0.3 is used

oh and I was unable to get the Ribbon 100% themed at this time
So you will might want to run Ribbon Disabler [link]

Quick question, did you update the shell32.dll to match the newest win8 updates?
I am currently unable to update my windows because of my tampering with the system files. But I am planning on reinstalling clean win8. Therefore I would like to know whether or the shell32.dll will be usable.

My newest shell32.dll is for version 16496.I'm not sure
if the is a newer one as I haven't done any Windows Updates
lately.If the is just let me know and I will make a updated version.
To check just hover the mouse on your's and a small popup window should
appear with the version number in it.
Instead of doing a re-install have you thought about just running
sfc /scannow
that should put all your system files back to original so you run windows update

Newest Shell32.dll is 16547
That is the one I have on my laptop, which is fully updated.
Thanks for suggesting sfc /scannow, but I think I will do a full reset anyway, because my laptop bugged out after that same update even though I did not mess with any files on this laptop.
I have already done the reset on the laptop and now it all works fine.

Hey I watched the YouTube video and followed the instructions all the way. The issue I am having is when I actually run the Aero- Glass at the end to make my windows transparent it switches over to black with my purple border only. I don't know what to do to fix this. Please help this very frustrated girl out

it sounds like Black Glass Enhanced is working.
After you start Aero Glass you could try closing all open windows and reopening them,or you could try changing the order,start Aero Glass then start Black glass
